Whether you follow the Qur’an, the Bible, sacred scrolls, or books new and old, one can find some common denominators.
But what I would like to bring up, is that none of them advocate killing or lethal force upon any individual.
By that standard alone, we all should realize that we all need to bind together against these evils and prevent them.
Lethal acts may be committed under “religious decree,” but that is far from the truth as you can see in my previous statements.
As one nation under god, we must unite to prove to the onlookers that they have not inflicted damage on our spirits but strengthened them.
As scouts we must uphold to the Scout Law, Oath, Slogan, and even the Scout Motto, to “Be Prepared.”
Also we should be thankful for the premier firemen and women across the nation, who everyday put their lives of the line to save others.
Whether it is at a burning house, a car accident, or a natural disaster, you can count on them.
May everyone be safe and pray for others safety especially on the anniversary of
“The day that Shocked the Nation,” September 11.
Amen
Jeff Jenkins, Troop 359 Chaplain's Aid
Enough said. The boy's were outstanding. They were a fine example of our Troop and the Scouting program.
